Over 40 years ago, I began my career working for Nielsen: one of the world’s largest market research agencies.
I moved to managing the research for Weetabix, then Granada. Following a career break (where I travelled the length of Africa in a truck) I set up this research consultancy in 1987.
My passion is understanding people: how they think, what matters, what motivates, and why they do what they do (or don’t do!).
Through insight, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many organisations with strategies, communications, designs, new product development, staff management & motivation, and more.
Almost 20 years ago, I was attracted to the depth and complexity of "faith research", which is both challenging and hugely satisfying. This fascinating research sits alongside my more commercial projects.
I'm an accomplished musician, playing flute, accordion and assorted other instruments, happily making music with bands, chamber groups and orchestras.
You are probably familiar with the 9 dot puzzle:
9 dots in a square, where the challenge is to connect the dots by drawing four straight, continuous lines that pass through each of the nine dots.
Most people automatically imagine a boundary around the edge of the dots, although there is no boundary.
The puzzle can only be solved by ‘thinking outside the box’, which describes my research perfectly.
Thank you for getting in touch.
I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
All the best,
Benita
